We wanted to share a few quick photos from our orchestral recording sessions in Budapest last week.
These were undoubtedly our best sessions to date. Not only did the 40 piece string section and 18 piece brass sound epic, but the players were totally zeroed in every session, and delivered some stunningly tight, emotive and powerful performances. Our harp session with the awesome Klara Babel was the many-stringed icing on the cake! Enormous thanks to everyone at the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, especially their unflappable and tireless organiser Rebeka, ultra-calm engineer Tamas Kurina, and the outstanding Peter Illényi, who conducted the sessions.
It was also great to meet up and hang out with some of our amazing composers, and geek out on trailer-music production techniques and favourite plugins! Many thanks to all who made the trip – the French contingent were undeniably masters of the babybfoot table!
