EDM, Electronica and Drum & Bass are very much part of the Evolving Sound DNA. Founder and Creative Director Jules Bromley was a DJ and dance producer, and ran Deep House record label Planet Nice long before he was a composer. For some time we’ve wanted to partner with amazing production talent from outside the trailer-music world, and meld it with the work of some of our outstanding composers. We believe that trailer music is all about innovation, and injecting new sound-design and production techniques into our work and workflows is an integral part of the Evolving Sound ethos. Evolving Sound X The Upbeats
We’re humbled and hugely excited to be working with Jeremy Glenn and Dylan Jones – collectively, Drum & Bass legends ‘The Upbeats’ – on our very first artist collaboration. Pioneers and standard-bearers of the burgeoning ‘Neurofunk’ scene, they’ve been producing boundary-stretching Drum & Bass since 2004, and have released a string of critically lauded albums. They’ve also collaborated with industry behemoths Ed Rush and Optical, State of Mind and Noisia and played some of the biggest festivals in the world. As they bring their genre-bending sound-design and production stylings to trailer music for the first time, we’re thrilled to be host to this compelling marriage of gritty underground sound-design, modernistic synth experimentation, avant-garde field recording and leading-edge processing and sound-munging techniques. Paired with the finely honed cinematic sensibilities of our exceptional composers, we’re on course for an album of truly radical trailer music, to sate the hungry earbuds of this vibrant industry.
